Our meals are prepared fresh daily at our newly-leased commissary kitchen and meet strict guidelines to accommodate a wide range of special diets. Every hot meal and frozen meal serves 1/3 of the RDA (Recommended Dietary Allowance) of protein, fats, carbohydrates, and nutrients for a senior. Each meal provides at least 700 calories and does not exceed 1,300 mg. of sodium.
Each meal contains one lean protein, one starch, one vegetable, one fruit or fruit juice, fresh bread, and 2% milk. Meals have no added sugar or salt.
If a client has a life-threatening allergy to a menu item, we can, in limited cases, make substitutions. A client must provide a doctor's note in order to receive a substitute meal.
