Meals on Wheels Durham is going virtual!

For the past few years, we've hosted an in-person gala to raise funds to support local seniors in need. This year, we're taking the party online!

Mark your calendar for a heart-warming celebration of the older adults who have helped us become who we are today:  Join us on Wednesday, March 16 for MOWD's Heart 2 Hand: Giving Back to Older Adults Virtual Fundraiser, hosted by ABC 11's Steve Daniels.

You can look forward to:​

• ​Hearing from local community leaders, volunteers, and supporters— including Duke Assoc. Head Coach Jon Scheyer and Durham Co. Food Security Coordinator Mary Oxendine;
• Learning more about how MOWD is enhancing the lives of older adults;
• Watching a never-before-seen volunteer video;
• And scoring some fabulous auction items—see what's up for grabs.

In order to watch our jam-packed live program and bid on auction items, you must register for the event.

Start shopping! New auction items will be added right up to event time. Our silent auction will open for bids on March 16 at 6 am.

How to register

1. Visit our event website
2. Click the REGISTER link located at the top right of the webpage
3. Fill in the prompted information
4. YOU'RE ALL SET — on event day, you will be able to view the live stream, chat with attendees, donate, and bid on auction items. Be sure to remember your login to access the event.

Important Note: We are excited to use Event.Gives as our virtual event platform. If you have attended an Event.Gives event in the past, you can still use the same login information. If you need to create a new password, click the link in the registration pop-up window.
